Advantages, challenges and criticalities of AI systems
Cosmetics is an ever-evolving science: changing consumers, transforming trends, and a constant demand for rapid innovation. In this context, the cosmetic third party plays a decisive role. Thanks to its cross-cutting vision of different brands and heterogeneous markets, it can read changes in advance and translate them into immediate technical adjustments.

Artificial intelligence introduces new possibilities: it predicts trends, supports data processing, and accelerates development. At the same time, however, it brings with it doubts related to the quality of the information available and the limitations of systems that cannot replace human sensitivity and experience.
This tension between technology and creativity is central today. OPAC, as a third-party supplier of cosmetic products, approaches this approach on a daily basis by integrating digital innovation, formulation expertise, and a creative baggage that remains essential to giving products identity.

In a new article by our Technical Director, Stefania Abbattista for the journal Makeup technology, we analyze how AI can be a valuable ally, provided it is guided by a critical, responsible approach capable of valuing human contribution.
