It was forged from within the solid foundations of the OMET Group, from which it inherited its technological and organisational expertise. With over 25 years of experience that have been entirely dedicated to producing wet wipes, O-PAC is a well-respected and recognised partner of leading cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and retail companies.

With a plan to grow and expand within the cosmetics industry, O-PAC purchased NCT-New Cosmetic Technology in 2015, a company that formulates, produces, and packages dermocosmetic products for third parties. In 2017 NCT is merged by incorporation with O-PAC. This new contingent enriches and diversifies the cosmetic products we can offer, making O-PAC an ideal representative for any project within the world of hygiene, cleansing, and beauty.

In April 2016, O-PAC signed a joint venture with Wet Wipes International. They are a company based in Prague in the Czech Republic, which produces and sells wet wipes across mainly Central and Eastern Europe. The complementary relationship between the two companies is a solid base upon which to develop a strong business synergy.

Since 2017 O-PAC further expands the range of products offered through the participation in a company specialized in single-dose packaging of creams, liquids, wipes, powders and granules.

Product guarantees and regulations

Quality and safety are our priorities; we therefore offer not only in vitro clinical testing, but also testing carried out on a sample of volunteers that represents the target consumer group. We do not conduct animal testing.
Consumers have the guarantee that all of our product statements are backed up by real studies, tests, or research, which enables us to also satisfy niche customers who have special requirements (sensitive skin, allergies, “without…” products, eco-friendly, biodegradable, etc.) O-PAC also develops formulas that adhere to the requirements of various certification authorities (e.g. COSMOS, CCPB, NATRUE, ECOCERT, Astma Allergi, and Halal).
The constant updating of regulations on cosmetics and strict processing and testing methods are a further guarantee of quality, in terms of the company, and for consumers. Collaborating with prestigious consulting firms allows O-PAC to always be at the forefront of the industry and to closely follow the latest legislative developments on ingredients, so as to be able to adapt and make changes to our own formulas as and when necessary.
We are also involved in the drafting of product safety documentation (PIF and CCPN).

Thanks to our continual search for new ingredients, we are able to respond to the increasingly stringent requirements of blacklists, and offer products that follow the international guidelines of Cosmetics Europe.

Quality

Aiming for excellence and continual improvement are the basic principles of the quality standards that have been offered by O-PAC for over 25 years.
As an ISO9001 and GMP certified company, O-PAC undergoes regular inspections from certification authorities and clients, but equal importance is also given to the internal management of our processes and products. Meticulous checks are implemented on our raw materials and final products, rooms are monitored, and microbiological tests are carried out.
In order to offer better expertise and support to our clients whilst developing our products, O-PAC has devised its own internal regulatory structure.

Production and automation

The whole production process is carried out in accordance with the cosmetics industry’s GMP regulations, and our production processes have a high level of automation. In order to improve quality and keep costs down, automatic control systems have been installed across the production line, such as scales, video cameras, and metal detectors.
At the same time, O-PAC offers great flexibility and personalisation during every phase of production, offering the most suitable solutions in terms of packaging, logistics, and merchandising, in order to satisfy the needs of a modern and ever-changing market.
For both the wet wipes world and for all the skin care, O-PAC offers wide ranges of sizes. From single packed wipes to the family pack, both interfolded and crossfolded; gloves, pads and shaped masks for specific application areas (eyes, lips …); emulsions, oil or water based liquids, muds and spa products packaged  in tubes, bottles, jars and various types of dispenser applicators.

Launch of Eco-friendly EcO-PAC Wet Wipes, made out of 100% compostable fabric and fully oxo-biodegradable packaging.

Transfer to the new head office in Oggiono (LC): 8,500sqm of indoor space, separate clean rooms, air purification systems, in accordance with GMP regulations.

First edition of Wet Wipes In Congress: O-PAC organised the first Italian convention dedicated to the wet wipes industry.

Installation of a machine to manufacture individually wrapped wet wipes, either singularly or in a twin sachet, with an automatic packaging system.

50th anniversary for the foundation of OMET. The Group celebrated by organising the OMETTIADI (“OMET Olympics”), two days of sport and fun for all of its collaborators.

Family Day for the OMET Group: the 5 Lecco-based companies opened their doors to their employees’ families. There were more than 1,100 visitors at the event, which was voted as “OMET’s most beautiful experience” by the majority of the staff.
