The viscose in our wet wipes is not plastic

Finding the perfect balance between single-use products and environmental protection is an individual challenge. On the other hand, striking a balance between a company’s economic needs and social or environmental ethics, preventing pollution and promoting a circular economy is a global challenge.

OPAC wet wipes win both these challenges because they are 100% made with plant-based viscose, obtained from renewable sources, and meet all international biodegradability and compostability standards.

Based on the European Commission’s guidelines – defined on 31 May 2021 in accordance with EU Directive 2019/904 of the European Parliament and Council of 5 June 2019 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment – viscose fabrics are not considered plastic, as they are made with natural polymers that have not been chemically modified.

OPAC has always been committed to sustainable production and consumption and goes even further to protect people’s skin and the environment. It does so by informing consumers about how to use and dispose of the product’s components correctly, promoting EU-approved fabrics and 100% recyclable packaging materials, and making lotions with a super high percentage of natural and organic ingredients (> 90%).

We have already made and tested a large number of products using viscose.
